Hasta Güçlendirme Öncülleri ve Sonuçlarının Tedaviye Uyum Üzerindeki Etkisinin Belirlenmesine Yönelik Bir Araştırma

Amaç: Bu araştırmadaki amaç hasta güçlendirmenin öncülleri ve sonuçlarının Covid-19 geçiren kişilerdeki tedaviye uyumun etkilerini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmada ayrıca geliştirilen model kapsamında, hasta güçlendirme öncüllerinin tedaviye uyum üzerindeki etkisinde hasta güçlendirmenin aracılık rolü incelenmiştir.
Yöntem: Bu kapsamda Samsun, Amasya, Çorum ve Tokat illerinde, Covid-19 salgını sürecinde hastalığı geçirmiş 554 kişinin katılımıyla bir çalışma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucu elde veriler, yapısal eşitlik modellemesi ve tanımlayıcı istatistikler kullanılarak analize tabi tutulmuştur.
Bulgular: Hasta güçlendirme, hasta güçlendirme öncülleri ölçeği ve alt boyutları, aşı değişkenine göre incelenmiş olup iki ve üç doz aşı olanların aşı olmayanlara göre algılarının daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Aynı ölçek ve alt boyutları eğitim durumuna göre incelenmiştir. Eğitim seviyesi ilkokul ve ortaokul olanların eğitim seviyesi lisans olanlara göre algılarının daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Hastaların tedaviye uyum düzeylerinin aşı durumuna göre farklı olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Sonuç: Bu araştırma sonucunda hasta güçlendirmenin hasta güçlendirme öncülleriyle tedaviye uyum arasında aracılık etkisinin olduğu saptanmış ve hasta güçlendirme öncüllerinin hasta güçlendirme üzerinde etkisinin olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca hasta güçlendirme ile tedaviye uyum arasında negatif ve doğrudan, hasta güçlendirme öncülleri ile tedaviye uyum arasında ise pozitif ve doğrudan bir etkinin olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Aim: The aim of this study is to reveal the effects of patient empowerment antecedents and outcomes on the treatment adherence of patients who have had COVID-19 during pandemic diseases. Additionally, within the scope of the developed model, the mediating role of patient empowerment in the effect of its antecedents on treatment adherence was examined.
Method: In this context, a study was conducted with the participation of 554 individuals who had contracted COVID-19 during the pandemic in the provinces of Amasya, Samsun, Tokat, and Çorum. The data obtained from the study were analysed using descriptive statistics and structural equation modelling.
Results: The patient empowerment and patient empowerment antecedents scale and its subscales were examined based on the vaccination variable, and it was determined that those who received two or three doses of the vaccine had higher perceptions than those who were not vaccinated. The same scale and its subscales were examined based on education level. Those with primary or secondary education had higher perceptions than those with university degrees. Patients' levels of compliance with treatment were found to vary depending on vaccination status.
Conclusion: As a result of this study, it was determined that the antecedents of patient empowerment have an effect on patient empowerment and that patient empowerment mediates the relationship between the antecedents of patient empowerment and treatment adherence. Additionally, it was found that the antecedents of patient empowerment have a direct and positive effect on treatment adherence, while patient empowerment has a direct and negative effect on treatment adherence.
