Today the importance of nursing education has been increased because of increasing the role of nurses in the health system. This situation needs specialized, critical thinking nurses. This can only be carried out by the undergraduate level, nurse experts in the field. As well as all over the world, institutions providing nursing education at the undergraduate level in our country is increasing day by day. However, differences between nursing education, conditions and the standarts in higher education institutions are avaible. These differences can be eliminated with transferring the effective implementation of educational standards. This compilation has been made to evaluate students in higher education institutions providing training in nursing, teaching staff and the distribution of species and the distribution of current year in Turkey. Hemşirelerin sağlık sisteminde giderek artan rolü, günümüzde hemşirelik eğitiminin önemini arttırmaktadır. Bu durum uzmanlaşmış, eleştirel düşünebilen hemşireleri gerekli kılar. Bu da ancak lisans düzeyinde eğitim almış, alanında uzman hemşirelerle gerçekleştirilebilir. Tüm dünyada olduğu gibi, ülkemizde de lisans düzeyinde hemşirelik eğitimi veren kurumlar günden güne artmaktadır. Bununla birlikte yükseköğretim kurumlarında hemşirelik eğitimi, koşulları ve standartları arasında farklılıklar mevcuttur. Bu farklılıklar eğitim standartlarının etkin olarak uygulamaya aktarılmasıyla ortadan kaldırılabilir. Bu derlemede Türkiye’de hemşirelik eğitimi veren yükseköğretim kurumlarındaki öğrenci, öğretim elemanı ve türü dağılımının güncel ve yıllara göre olan dağılımın değerlendirilmesine çalışılmıştır.
