Starting from the day when violence increased in Syria and the Syrian citizens started to take refuge in neighboring countries, there has been an asylum seeker rush towards Turkey. The asylum seeker, who are especially increasing in the southern border of our country, cause problems in the health system besides the socio-economic problems. There haven’t been any researches on the problems brought by the asylum seeker in our country to the health and nursing services. The aim of this paper is to deal with the effects of the asylum seeker problem in Turkey on health and nursing services. Keywords: War, Refugee/ Asylum Seeker, Health Services, Nursing Services.

Suriye’deki şiddetin artmasıyla, Suriye vatandaşlarının ülkesini terk ederek komşu ülkelere sığınmaya başladığı günden başlayarak Türkiye’ye doğru sığınmacı akını yaşanmaktadır. Ülkemizin özellikle güney sınırında giderek artan sığınmacılar, sosyo-ekonomik sorunların yanı sıra sağlık sisteminde de sorunların yaşanmasına neden olmaktadır. Ülkemizdeki sığınmacıların sağlık ve hemşirelik hizmetleri alanında getirdiği sorunlara ilişkin araştırmalar bulunmamaktadır. Bu yazının amacı, Türkiye’de yaşanan sığınmacı sorununun sağlık ve hemşirelik hizmetlerine olan etkilerinin ele alınmasıdır.
