INTRODUCTION: This study was conducted to determine the ideas of bachelor’s degree nurses with formal education and undergraduate nursing students receiving distance education about the bachelor’s degree completion program.
METHODS: This is a descriptive study. Of the nurses in the hospital where the study was conducted, 426 bachelor’s degrees and 169 continuing distance education were given survey forms.
RESULTS: Of the nurses receiving formal education, 32.6% supported their colleagues who started distant education, and 62% did not find completing the bachelor’s degree program necessary. According to the nurses receiving distant education, a significant difference was found between the ideas of nurses receiving formal education due to their colleagues and managers on the bachelor’s degree completion program. The nurses receiving formal education stated that distance education is an easy way, is not fair to bachelor’s degree nurses with formal education and will reduce the quality of nursing education. A statistically highly significant difference was found between the intent to start the program reported by those who received distance education and this intent in the opinions of those who had completed their degrees in formal education (p<0.05). Of the nurses receiving formal education, 42.7% stated that basic sciences lessons cannot be learned through distance education, and 73.6% of the nurses receiving distance education stated that vocational lessons cannot be learned from a book or computer in distance education. On contrary, distance education students stated that they can learn theoretical and vocational lessons with distance education. Of the formal education graduates, 18.6%, and of the distance education students, 19.2% stated that clinical practice contributed to vocational development.
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: The distance education program caused the feeling that it is not fair for formal education bachelor’s degree graduates, and it is not supported. New regulations should be done for internships and the content of the bachelor’s degree completion program.

GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Bu çalışma, örgün eğitimle lisans mezunu hemşireler ve uzaktan eğitimle hemşirelik lisans eğitimini almakta olan hemşirelerin lisans tamamlama programı hakkındaki görüş ve düşüncelerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.
YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Araştırma tanımlayıcı bir araştırmadır. Çalışmanın yapıldığı hastanedeki örgün eğitim lisans mezunu 426 hemşire ve uzaktan eğitime devam eden 169 hemşirenin tümüne anket formu verilmiştir.
BULGULAR: Örgün eğitim alanların %32,6’sı, uzaktan eğitime başlayan meslektaşlarını desteklediğini, %62’si lisans tamamlamayı uygun bulmadığını bildirmiştir. Uzaktan eğitim alanların bildirdiğine göre mesai arkadaşları ve yöneticilerinin düşünceleri ile örgün eğitim alanların lisans tamamlama programına yönelik düşünceleri arasında anlamlı fark olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0,05). Örgün eğitim alanlar, uzaktan eğitimin kolay kazanılmış bir hak, örgün eğitim ile lisans mezunu olan hemşirelere yapılan bir haksızlık olduğunu ve mevcut uzaktan eğitim ile eğitim kalitesinin düşeceğini daha fazla oranda bildirmiştir. Uzaktan eğitim alanların bildirdiği programa başlama amaçları ile örgün eğitim alanlara göre uzaktan eğitim alanların amaçları arasında istatistiksel olarak ileri düzeyde anlamlı farklılık saptanmıştır (p<0,05). Örgün eğitim alanların %42,7’si, uzaktan eğitimde temel bilim derslerinin, %73,9’u uzaktan eğitimde mesleki derslerin kitaptan veya bilgisayardan takip edilerek öğrenilemeyeceğini bildirmiştir. Buna karşılık uzaktan eğitim alanlar teorik ve mesleki dersleri uzaktan eğitimle öğrenebildiklerini bildirmiştir. Örgün eğitim mezunlarının %18,6’sı, uzaktan eğitim alanların %19,2’si klinik uygulamanın mesleki gelişime katkıda bulunduğunu bildirmişlerdir.
TARTIŞMA ve SONUÇ: Uzaktan eğitim lisans programı, örgün eğitim lisans mezunlarında haksızlık yapıldığı duygusuna neden olmakta ve desteklenmemektedir. Lisans tamamlama içeriğine, staj uygulamasına yönelik eleştirilen hususlarda yeniden düzenlemeler yapılmalıdır.
